The Gunther G. Hoos Award

The Gunther G. Hoos Award is granted to students who have exhibited excellent quality work and creative initiative. It will be made available to the recipient prior to or during their internship semester to allow students to expand their internship possibilities. It is named after Gunther Hoos who dedicated himself to serving students and who was instrumental in enhancing the profile of our nationally recognized program. The award is designed to reflect his goal that deserving students should have the best internship experience possible.

Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in their major, be cleared for their capstone internship and provide a production resume and an easily accessible online production portfolio or reel, provided via web link, i.e. web page, Vimeo link, etc. Recipient’s internship must be approved by the Communications Media Department before the distribution of the scholarship.
